No war intended, just offering information. People should use whatever
combination of platforms they wish for whatever they want to do.

One clarifying post and a "thanks" is "so many leaping to the defense"?

Anyway, screen savers are not stupid (they are, after all, one of the biggest
selling "aps" on macs and intel clones). Well, come to think of it, most of them
are stupid. I saw a really lame FarSide blanker on a friend's machine the
other day. Not nearly as satisfying as reading the cartoon in the paper. A lame
"mulitmedia-ish" attempt at animation with no sense of timing, but I digress.

Still, the function of a screen blanker is important and I'd rather have it than
not.

Sorry I deleted your disclaimer from your quote. I was trying to save

Thanks for sharing. Got a client up your butt this morning (no disrespect
intended toward you or your clients)? If the issue is LightWave and screen
savers, they work together as god intended on the Amiga. My best guess
is that your problems on that platform were caused by some other factor.
On a system that preemptively multitasks with no memory protection and
lots of PD utilities in common useage, there are usually ample suspects to
be found when things go wrong.

I can't hazard a guess as to what problems might exist on intel machines that
could cause screen blankers to go south. It's too bad they apparently don't work
with LightWave there. Hopefully someday they will.
